It has been a busy week of sport across the shires MAT secondary schools, with over 100 students participating in the Benchball and Indoor Football “Shires Super-League” matches.
On Tuesday, we saw the Year 9 and 10 girls battle it out in Benchball. Studley High were victorious in both year groups, with the Year 10 Team finishing the night unbeaten. Ridgeway High came in second, with North Bromsgrove finishing in third place in both competitions.
Wednesday night brought us a tough Boys Year 9 and 10 Indoor Football competition. Studley came out on top in the Year 9 competition, followed by North Bromsgrove in second and Ridgeway in third place. However, North Bromsgrove were victorious in the year 10 competition, with Studley placing second and Ridgeway in third.
On Thursday night, the boys went head-to-head once again in the Year 7 and 8 Indoor football competition. Studley were winners once again in both year groups!
This brings us to the end of our first round of fixtures in the Autumn term. In the spring term, we are looking forward to the boys battling it out in Basketball and Handball, and the girls will be going head-to-head in Netball and Football fixtures. We also have the first Shires Winter Olympics taking place, which already looks to be a fantastic event!
Stay tuned for the leaderboard update next week!
