This week Year 10 students from @studleyhigh had the valuable opportunity to take part in an inspiring assembly delivered by a representative from the University of Cambridge. The session was designed to open studentsβ eyes to the wide range of academic pathways available to them and to encourage... them to aim high as they begin to think about their future studies and careers.

Warwickshire Skills Show
Our students from @studleyhigh recently attended the Warwickshire Skills Show, held at the Coventry Building Society Arena as part of National Careers Week. The event brought together employers from across the region, offering interactive activities and insights ...into a wide range of career pathways. Designed to inspire young people, the show showcased opportunities across multiple sectors and allowed students to engage directly with local industries. It was a highly valuable experience that broadened studentsβ understanding of future career options.

Our next MAT sporting challenge is being launched across all schools - the MAT Mile.
How far can we collectively walk, cycle or run?

We are challenging all members of our community to take part ...over the half term break encouraging everyone to get out and about after a wet and dreary January!
A letter will be sent out to all asking for everyone to complete 1 (or more) mile and submit their entries on the form which is linked in the letter.

@stgeorgesfirst had a very productive week last week - a visit from @chrisbloore4redditch - he really enjoyed being grilled by Year 2 and the School Council. They even cheekily asked him was 66+1 is (if you know, you know!) π
In addition they held an amazing parent workshop on anxiety ...which saw an amazing turnout and Chris was able to listen to things that worry our parents, taking on board their comments and offering support.
Well done to the amazing student and thanks to all involved.
